Apple to spend Cash Money on hip-hop documentary about Drake's label

Apple is reported to be making a documentary about the record label home of Drake, L'il Wayne and Nicki Minaj.

According to Music Business Worldwide, the documentary telling the story of Cash Money Records will be exclusive to Apple Music.
Cash Money founder Birdman Williams hinted at the tie-up with an Instagram post in which he appeared alongside Apple Music exec Larry Williams. At the time of writing, Apple and Cash Money could not be reached for comment.
Apple is fairly new to the game of creating original content to tempt you to subscribe to its streaming service. Music streamers like Apple Music and Tidal have previously focused on bagging exclusive albums. But with Netflix and Amazon leading the way in creating new shows and movies like "House of Cards" and "Transparent" for their video streaming services, Apple is also planning a video series called "Planet of the Apps" involving Gwyneth Paltrow.
