On 11th August 2016, a male breast cancer activist will be having a lump taken out of his Breast.
He started his breast cancer awareness campaign a year two years ago after losing his mum to breast cancer. He has breast cancer awareness foundation called the Treasure Motherhood Foundation ( *TMF*). And he is he head of the Breast Cancer Awareness Team Ghana, a team under (TMF).
Due to this family history, he has to do a Lumpectomy ( a surgery to remove lump from a breast) at Peace and Love Hospital, Kumasi.
This surgery will cost Ghc1,500. And there are other cost like Laboratory test, Drugs and dressing of the wound.
Its was just an irony for a male and breast cancer activist to find a lump in his breast. This is evidence that men also get lumps. These lumps must be removed and taken to the laboratory for further investigation. This helps to know whether the lump is cancerous or not. And if its cancerous the stage of the cancer. This also helps to know the kind of treatment to be given to the patient.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Team Ghana is seeking funds to help him with his surgery and also open a fund called the PINK FUND. This fund will help others who can not afford their surgery pay for the cost.
